Red Pens Rock Out - NYC this week

Learned recently about the rockin' sound of Red Pens, whose debut music piece, Reasons, was released in February on Grain Belt Records (pretty apt!), which says it "focuses on the sounds of the new Minneapolis indie music scene." Sounds A-OK to me. I've loved the sounds of rockin' Twin Cities bands over the years.

Howard Hamilton III is the guitarist, vocalist and scuz-sound mastermind behind Red Pens. If this blog post is to be believed, it looks like he's been rockin it out with fellow Minesotans and others for a while now. His singing drummer gal pal is Laura Bennet.
