Paul Westerberg - 3oclockreep / 5:05/Finally Here Once

Paul Westerberg has gone from reclusive to downright nutty! He's releasing (apparently new) music left and right, from July's 49:00 (which Amazon has now been taken down to alleged copyright infringement or something).

Now that Paul's got his fans' dander up again, he's released more songs and music through TuneCore - a song called 5:05, which sounds like an immediate response to the legal strapjacket placed on him (catch the Ramones inference halfway through), a acoustic-tinged thang called 'Finally Here Once' (nice song), and a 20 minute track called '3oclockreep' (which I'm just downloading now).

Very refreshing ennui in the air about this and super cool to see Paul (and other musicians) busting out of the record-release CD-tour cycle into something more immediate and likely more gratifying.

Note to self: what's an ennui?)
