Paul Westerberg - New CD - 49:00
Is it true? Did this come out of nowhere (is my home?)?
Paul Westerberg has put out an under-the-radar MP3 file called "49:00" - this news comes direct from Kathy over at Paul's Page, so it's gotta be true. Forty nine minutes for 89 cents?
I'm kinda flummoxed by the whole thing, but will certainly tee up the one long MP3 and give it a whirl....can't wait to see what Mr. Westerberg has delivered....
UPDATE: Billboard has the longer story which fills in the cracks with ackground info and some quotes from Paul's manager.
UPDATE UPDATE: Listened to some of it this AM in the car - Holy collage-GBV-shrapnel rock! I love the songs mixing together, uptempo pop, covers and more and my God, is "Devil Raised a Good Boy" a killer rocker? (pun intended) Yes it is.

Not to sound like a thief, but any chance of posting it somewhere so folks living anywhere apart from the US can hear it? I'm from Australia and there's loads of people here, not to mention Europe, who'd be dying to hear it!
I always buy music but knowing this is out there and I can't get to it is driving me nuts!
Nah, I ain't gonna post it, but rumors are floating that it will be available to non-USers soon...
I'm bummed. I have an older MAC and since I don't have OS 10.4, I can't download it on Amazon. Even if I want to pay (which of course I do, as its quite a bargain!)
