Boogie Friday with early Midwestern REO Speedwagon! Here's today's Rock Clip of the Week, featuring young and hungry REO playing '157 Riverside Avenue' from their 1971 debut (LONG before their late 1970s breakthrough with their first live LP.
For an in-studio session, it sounds great, and the boogie keeps chooglin...fyi - announcer goes on WAY long (demarol?) so the music doesn't kick in until about 1:25...

i was a punk and psych fan as a teen, saw reo several years later in the 80s and was happily surprised at the high level of onstage entertainment they provided.
