- The debut from Vampire Weekend, they of the "Upper West Side Soweto" sound, is for your listening pleasure at MuchMusic.com. I'm liking the latter half of the CD (I Stand Corrected, Wolcott, etc).

- Largehearted Boy points us (you? them? me?) in the direction of new releases streaming online including Joe Jackson's "Rain" and Louis XIV's "Slick Dogs and Ponies".

- Powerpopulist points us to cool songs from the likes of Teenage Fanclub, Lush, The Beatles, Roky Erikson and others.
