Rock Video of the Week - Frank Zappa 1971 documentary

My choice today for this week's Rock Clip of the Week is a little off the beaten path for me. It's not a performance per se but the first part of a several-part documentary on Frank Zappa and the Mothers, made by Dutch TV VPRO way back in 1971.

If you've never seen or heard any music from American composer Frank Zappa, do yourself a favor and check this rare documentary (with lots of onstage footage from the Fillmore West with backing singers Flo & Eddie). How rare, you ask? Even Howard Kaylan (of The Turtles/Flo & Eddie) notes in the comments over at YouTube..."Hey, I haven't seen this stuff since we did it in 1971..Frank was the best of the best. Fantastic! Thanks MrGreenGenes. Let us keep the Zappa flag waving proudly for generations to come." Good stuff all around.
