Art Brut - Back in NYC this week

It’s a good week for fun rock and roll. British rockers Art Brut make its triumphant return with two shows this week (tonight at Bowery Ballroom and Wednesday at Studio B).

The band’s new unmastered songs, sent to several bloggers a few weeks ago, are all good (I'm partial to "Nag, nag, nag, Nag, Nag") and as singer Eddie Argos says in today’s AM/NY, the band is doin' “the same sort of thing, but better”. Having seen Art Brut three times in 2006, I can say that it’s a fun show, with lots of energy from the band and laid back witticisms from Mr. Argos.

Look for their new CD “It’s a Bit Complicated” in the summer.
